Mark Schleisner, CISSP, PMP
Mark has twenty years of experience with security-related project management, 3 rd Party Vendors, business analysis, and user Identity/Access Management. He has given cybersecurity lectures and panel discussions to numerous organizations, including the New York Academy of Medicine, Yale Alumni Nonprofit Alliance, and the ISC 2 New Jersey Chapter’s annual security conference (SECON).
Mark has earned a Master of Science Degree from Yeshiva University's Cybersecurity Program at the Katz School of Science and Health. Previously, Mark graduated from the Weill Cornell Medical College Health IT Certificate Program, with a concentration in cybersecurity.
He enjoys mentoring students just beginning their cybersecurity careers, and has a soft spot for hacker movies like The Matrix and War Games.

According to a 2022 Verizon report, 62 percent of all data breaches happen via 3rd party vendors. These days, every business relies to some extent on these vendors, so what can be done to mitigate the cybersecurity risk they potentially pose to your organization? This talk will discuss the various ways that will protect against your provider becoming a backdoor for attacking your network and data.
