Brad Rainey has been in the cybersecurity business for over 20 years. His career has been mostly focused on government service and consulting in the intelligence community. He's held jobs in software development, security systems engineering, and disaster management and resiliency. Brad's interests now are focused on how to bring new work structures to the cybersecurity field in order to begin closing the jobs gap.

Talk Title:  The Future of Work

It's estimated that there are hundreds of thousands of unfilled, well-paying cybersecurity jobs in America right now. Whether through a lack of interest by today's students, the inability of our industry to fully explain the needs and benefits of a cybersecurity career, or our educational system's mismatch in teaching the necessary skills, the number of unfilled jobs continues to grow. But instead of looking at those jobs as the number of additional people we need to bring to the industry, can we break down those jobs into something more manageable that can be done with what we currently have? How can new work structures, such as freelancers, or project-based work help us complete the work that needs to be done in order to secure our businesses?
